About the work

Chaos unfolds megastructures without control. Their mechanics make the body and mind vibrate. The fractal law that governs the cosmos is reflected in this dark universe, revealing the beauty that emerges from chaotic patterns — an unpredictable journey that defies human understanding.

The essence of a fractal is self-organization, in which simple mathematical equations generate infinite universes with complex visual structures and repetitive patterns of the same shapes at different scales. Each fractal is evidence of the inherent ability of universal formulas to create, based on self-similarity.

Specific parameters of different mathematical formulas are manipulated to synthesize and modulate shapes, where interesting patterns and repetitions are found. Materials, textures, lighting and camera movements let us visualize infinite universes at a digital level.

02 · GPU RENDER

VOLUMETRIC LIGHTING · SHADOWS · FOG

These processes occur on the GPU and can be so intensive that rendering a one-minute video may take days. Calculation of shadows, reflections, transparency, fog and volumetric lighting allows scenes in which the light and shadow of each component influence one another.

03 · MODULAR SOUND

Sound explorations use the same principles of oscillation with modular synthesis, creating soundscapes that react to the movements and mutations of the generated universe. Sine waves, filters, distortions, noise and sub-bass frequencies let us feel the sound in body and mind.

04 · THE SOUND OF BIRTH

ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD READING

The physical sounds emitted by the computer during the complex processes are integrated through the reading of electromagnetic fields generated by PC components. The processed audio becomes part of the artwork: the sound of the fractal's birth.

In this way, THE INFRANET transcends multiple disciplines to stimulate our senses, creating immersive scenarios that transport us to new universes.
